Father’s Day usually falls on the third Sunday of the month of June every year. This year seems to be a bit different because a lot of things are currently going on in the world, making it fall right in the middle of a global pandemic. Times are hard and economies are shrinking, but all that should not take away from the fact that we are blessed to see yet another father’s day. If you do not have a biological father, this is the perfect time to show love and gratitude to that male that has played a huge role in your upbringing or in how you view the world. Below are 4 unique father’s day 2020 ideas:
1. Dad’s Personalized Gift Box
Set aside time to put together all those pieces that your dad loves then curate a nice gift package for him. You can find things such as a new book, a shaving kit, his favorite scent and 2 new pairs of shorts if he is into such stuff. It could be anything by the way. Just make sure that the gift box is personalized and actually matches his lifestyle since times do change.
2. Tree planting
Since we all know that the environment is one important aspect of our existence, why not conserve it by planting trees with your dad? I for sure know that my dad loves trees and he currently has a ton of seedlings in his backyard, waiting to be planted.
3. Order in
Since restaurants are slowly opening up once again, this would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone by gifting your dad his favorite take out dish while at the same time supporting the local business that was obviously negatively affected by the pandemic.
4. Call Him
If you do not have money or time to go that extra mile, just pick up your phone and call your father. Engage in a lengthy telephone call with him and don’t forget to appreciate him for the role he plays in your life. He will love it, I promise.
