Mornings symbolize a new dawn, a new beginning and most importantly, a clean slate for you to write your narrative on. They give you a chance to mend your bad old ways and to improve on your better ones. When a new dawn comes, it shows that the universe has presented you with a new opportunity to be in control of your life.
Yet, we sometimes choose to not look at mornings this way. Actually, this happens most of the time. So, if you do have the following morning habits, today should be a good a time as any for you to ditch them. Have a look:
1. Checking your phone
Phones can be addictive to the extent that some people reach for their phones before they even get to stretch and walk out of bed. When you wake up and the first thing you do is to check your socials, you not only invite bad energy at the start of your day but you also end up wasting time that could be used for something productive. I always try to not check my phone until I am out of bed and out and about.
2. Snoozing that Alarm

3. Leaving your bed unmade
I was always told by my mother that when you make your bed first thing in the morning, you get to tick the first task of the day off your to-do list. It boosts your productivity because your brain automatically starts to look for more things you need to do during the day. In addition, making your bed reduces the chances of you going back to bed.
4. Skipping Breakfast
If no one ever told you, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When you skip it, you end up promoting your appetite which will make you take in more calories during the day. In addition, when you start your day on an empty stomach, it ends up dwindling your energy, making you less productive.

5. Skipping morning workouts
Morning workouts are very important to your general health and sleep patterns. You get to stretch your muscles, keep your blood pressure in check, take care of your mental health and ultimately give you that push for the day. When you skip it, you fail to honor your body, mind and soul.
